    Under exceptional circumstances, 11-year-olds may be permitted to join the residential course provided that specific criteria are me.

  • A playing level of intermediate-advanced is required. The camp is not open to beginners or recreational players. We advise that players currently play for school, club or academy side.

MEET OUR
GK COACH

GOALKEEPER CAMP

LALIGA Football Camps UK offers a unique opportunity for players to live and train like young professional footballers. Students will immerse themselves in an intensive two-week technical training course sculpted by world-class UEFA Pro certified coaches from LALIGA.

Goalkeeper specific training takes place in the mornings with a qualified FA/UEFA qualified football coach from the UK.

Accompanying the LALIGA coaches from Spain will be former professional players from England who have a wealth of playing and coaching experience through guest masterclasses and Q&A’s.

Players will learn LALIGA’s authentic training methodologies with a focus on creating the ‘complete footballer’ through tactical, technical, physical and psychological sessions and workshops. 

As part of LALIGA’s 360° approach, players will have access to high-performance specialist’s, an array of football related workshops, individualised technical reports and in-house fixtures.

Students will also have the chance to partake in an excursion to a professional football stadium for a behind the scenes tour and visit iconic areas of London for as part of their cultural  city visit.

Goalkeeper Training

Hosted in small groups, the sessions covers shot-stopping, positioning, footwork, distribution, handling, one-on-one scenarios and much more.

Goalkeepers integrate with the outfielders in the afternoon for team practices to enhance decision-making, communication, and understanding of play from the back.

There will be opportunities for matchesin competitive environments alongside outfield players.

Former Professional Players

Joining the LALIGA coaches will be former English professional players who will offer guest masterclasses and Q&A’s.

LALIGA Coaches

The intensive training programme is designed and executed by authentic LaLiga coaches from Spain. The vast majority of the coaches are UEFA Pro certified, which is the highest accreditation a coach can receive by European standards.

Excursions

During the players stay, there will be opportunities for sports-based and cultural excursions which include:

Stadium Tour 
On Wednesdays Players will either go behind-the-scenes to a professional stadium or a football-based excursion.

London City 
On Saturdays, students will visit London City and visit iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Bridge and more.

Training

Players can expect a high-performance coaching environment that is progressive throughout the course. Week one is centred on individual player development with week two focused on team development. Groups are segregated by age and/or ability.

Pastoral Care

The foremost concern is the health and wellbeing of every player that attends the camp. Staff are available on campus 24 hours per day and provide an excellent welfare service to students.

A staff to student ratio of 1:5 is guaranteed. There is a Welfare Manager and a team of dedicated House Parents who look after students’ personal needs, a surgery let by qualified nurse several times a week and access to a local doctor if required.

Social Events

A full programme of organised and supervised social events is offered every evening enabling students to make new friends and develop their social skills. By actively encouraging the mixing of nationalities, we help create a harmonious, international community in which students can safer and comfortably live, study and enjoy themselves.
